The Anchored Wave

Work that tools alone cannot produce.

I direct AI to make durable, rigorous, genuinely new work in fields where most AI output is noise. The method stays mine. The evidence does the talking.

What The Anchored Wave is

A proven ability to command AI, not a promise about it.

Anyone can prompt a model. Almost no one gets rigorous, novel, non-slop work out of one. The gap between those two outputs is the whole product, and it is entirely method. The Anchored Wave is that method pointed at hard problems, one domain at a time. It does not sell the method. It shows the results and lets you check them yourself.

The first proof, in the open

Theodicy and Other Adventures, by JoNell Melo

Why a world with real freedom has to be a world with real harm.

Theodicy and Other Adventures is a working account of exactly that. It runs on ordinary things you can check for yourself: a dimmer switch, a sandcastle at the tideline, a bowl of cornstarch that dances on a speaker and goes flat the instant the music stops.

A book cannot pour an answer into you. It can only build one in front of you and hand it over to do with as you please.

Much of it was worked out in a long argument with an artificial intelligence that was wrong a great deal of the time. Correcting it, out loud and in complete sentences, was the labor that delivered the ideas. That argument is the method, and this book is its first proof.

One domain, in the open. The question it should leave you with is the interesting one: does the method transfer? That is what the ventures below are for.

The same method, across domains

One engine. A family of serious efforts.

The book proves the method makes new things. These prove it travels. Each is the same discipline aimed at a different field.

Learning

GuildEd

An AI-native university where the universe is the campus. A one-on-one dialectic reading companion at population scale, built to answer Bloom's 2-sigma problem.

In active development. Working demo and design whitepaper targeted for October 2026.
Health

Vital Steward

Whole-person health stewardship aimed at lowering the cost of care and widening who can reach it.

In development.
Civic

CCLG

A civic sense-making platform: a way to think clearly together in public, built to resist echo chambers by design.

In development.

Who is behind it

JoNell (Homer) Melo

JoNell (Homer) Melo

She has a history of creating answers where none exist. She spent four years in the Air Force building sensors and prototypes in a role that did not exist until she talked her way into it, and has been doing some version of that ever since.

The Anchored Wave is where she points that habit now: take a messy, high-stakes domain and anchor it into working, AI-native infrastructure, one proof at a time. Theodicy and Other Adventures is the first.
